In 2008 we rehomed 487 dogs!

In reviewing end of year numbers, I learned that in 2008 our wonderful team of volunteers and fosters rehomed 487 dogs! Most of these dogs came from high kill shelters and would have been gassed had they not been rescued. About 50 dogs were surrendered by owners who couldn't keep them, in most cases due to the housing crisis. A few dogs were surrendered when elderly owners died or went into care facilities. Thanks to all our great fosters for helping so many dogs get new families and homes!  LP

Congrats Lynn! You do great work and I can't thank you enough for the most wonderful, smart, loving dog. I'm quite certain if it was not for you she would have been euthanized. Black mixed breed dogs often are overlooked but you and the late Teresa Peltier knew there was something special in my Olive. Thank you thank you thank you. Your hard work is so worth it!
